Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic company comes to UCF

The public is invited to hear a free, public presentation given by George Whitesides, the CEO and President of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic company.

The speech is on Monday February 28 at 8 pm in the Pegasus Ballroom of the UCF Student Union. Virgin Galactic is taking reservations for flights to space on its SpaceShipTwo rocket.

Whitesides will discuss the promise of space tourism and how vehicles in development will open new avenues for science and technology. A new space age of commercial spaceflight is dawning and the US is leading this innovative new industry.

Come hear how you be able to fly and how you can use these services for research discovery. The talk is given as part of the Next-Generation Suborbital Researchers Conference held at UCF from Feb. 27-Mar. 2.
