TurboVote hits the student union today

A new initiative adopted by the Lou Frey Institute and the Student Government Association called TurboVote hits the UCF Student Union today from 12 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers will have computers available for students to sign up and become registered voters.

TurboVote makes voter registration as easy as renting a DVD from Netflix. Students can sign up, and they keep track of all the rules and deadlines and even send completed forms that include an addressed, stamped envelope for their local election office, so all there is to do is sign them and drop them in the mail. Once a student signs up, TurboVote virtually handles everything they may need to register to vote (or update their voter registration), get absentee ballots and vote by mail and sends reminders so they never forget to vote.

If you can’t make the event today, you can check out TurboVote online at ucf.turbovote.org.
