UCF Couple Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton on ‘The X Factor’ Top 12

From singing in a stairwell to singing in front of millions of people — a couple from the University of Central Florida has made it to the big leagues.
Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton are contestants on the hit-singing show “The X Factor” and sang “Toxic” during Wednesday night’s premiere. Click here to watch the full performance!
Kinsey and Deaton, have been dating for two years, according to the Orlando Sentinel reports. Sierra recently graduated with a degree in Ad-PR while Alex is currently a senior who is taking a break from college and plans to return in the spring, the Sentinel also reports.
“Simon Cowell is one of the best humans in the business,” Kinsey told an Orlando Sentinel reporter during a Q&A session. “We’ve been working at this quite a while. It’s been a dream to be able to perform and be in front of people.”
The “X Factor” season premiere was this past Wednesday, September 11th and after a riveting premiere audition, the couple has made it to the Top 12 performances!
