David Boswell

Image of gradute student David Boswell David is a third-year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Christopher Bennett on experiments relating to the processes that ices, meteorites, and amino acids/precursors are exposed to or undergo within the interstellar medium (ISM).  These include characterizing the composition and spectral features of organic residues using Raman spectroscopy, exposing water ice (and other volatile ices) to energetic electron bombardment, and modeling prebiotic reactions by mixing, heating, and cooling solutions of peptides and α-hydroxy acids.
