Sigma-Pi-Sigma

Sigma Pi Sigma is a nationally recognized physics honor society. Membership is highly competitive and the membership is for a lifetime. At UCF the requirements are a 3.0 overall GPA, having completed 3 or more upper division courses (3000 level or higher) and having a physics major GPA of 3.5 or higher. Once these requirements are met admission is guaranteed and a one time $54 fee must be paid to the national chapter. This application process occurs during mid Spring.

The Sigma Pi Sigma chapter also has very close ties to the math honor society Pi Mu Epsilon, with whom we had a joint induction ceremony in past years.

Some of the benefits of Sigma Pi Sigma are chapter events, special awards, opportunities to go to PhysCon, online communities, and access to Radiations magazine.
