Scholarships are a great way to gain some financial stability without taking away hours of study time! Good news is there are a lot of different scholarships from many different places including some directly from UCF!
George and Geraldine McCurry Endowed Scholarship
Criteria:
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of (6) credit hours
- Must be a junior or a senior (completed a minimum of 60 credit hours)
- Have declared a major in Biology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics

Advancing Women in Science and Mathematics
Criteria:
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
- A declared major in Math, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Statistics, or Physics
- Submission of a resume that shows evidence of extra-curricular activity and/or honors and awards in the students declared major
- Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to advancing women’s involvement in Science and/or Mathematics through membership in a UCF registered student organization whose mission is to promote women in one or more of these fields. Examples of two UCF organizations include Scientista and the Women in Physics Society

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Criteria:
- Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage
- STEM students receive preferences

Heinlein Society Scholarship
Criteria:
- Full time undergraduate student
- Major must be Engineering, mathematics, biology, or physical sciences
Application:
Visit https://www.heinleinsociety.org/scholarship-program/ for the application form. Application asks for a brief explanation of career goals and biographical information, and a 500 – 1,000 word essay on one of the topics listed on their websites.
