Biography
Bernard Jensen, Ph.D., Associate Professor Emeritus, retired in January 2021, after 35 years of distinguished service to UCF. He began his career at UCF as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology in 1985. Dr. Jensen is a clinical psychologist whose research has spanned many topics, from marital and sex counseling to sports psychology, where he continues to be a recognized expert in the enhancement of athletic performance.
Beyond his successes in teaching and research, Dr. Jensen has had a distinguished career in service and administration, both at the department and the university level, having dedicated over half of his career at UCF in these roles: He has served the department and university as Director of the Clinical Psychology M.A. program, as Director of Clinical Training for the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, as Associate Chair of the department, as Director of the UCF-Daytona Beach campus (2003-2006), and as Associate Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Executive Director of Academic Initiatives for the Regional Campuses from 2006 to 2009.
