Biography

Allison Phillips is currently teaching as an adjunct professor and actively practicing as a mental health professional and is working toward licensure as a mental health counselor. She believes it is imperative for students to gain not only a textbook knowledge of psychology, but also an understanding of psychology based in practice. Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University in 2017 and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from University of Central Florida in 2019. Allison has published research in the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality journal from the American Psychological Association and has presented on this research as a nominee for the Graduate Student Research Award at the Southeastern Psychological Association conference in 2019.
