Biography

Jack Rollins retired in summer 2003 after completing 35 years of service at UCF as a psychology professor, dean and regional administrator. As a faculty member, Rollins played a leading role during the formative years of the Department of Psychology. He developed key courses in the curriculum and secured National Science Foundation and Department of Education grants that helped equip laboratories. As an administrator, he played a prominent role in consolidating the colleges of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Fine Arts into the College of Arts and Sciences. Rollins’ tenure as dean of the college was marked by growth in students and the quality of faculty. He contributed to quality education and enhanced UCF’s image throughout the region during his leadership of the Daytona Beach Campus and in his last post as associate vice president and chief administrative officer of the Area Campus System.
