Dr. Shawn Davis joined the faculty at UCF in 2022. Prior to coming to UCF, Dr. Davis served as Director of the Master’s Program in Psychology at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Before his time in the UK, he served within the Doctoral program at Pacific University in Oregon as a Research Professor. While at Pacific University, he supervised sixty-six thesis and dissertation projects and served as primary research consultant for sixty-seven additional projects. Dr. Davis completed his Master’s in Experimental Psychology at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and his PhD in Developmental Psychology at the University of Houston. His research interests have involved computer-delivered health communication messaging, the impact of social media use on relationship development, the societal impact of rapid technological development, and the psychology behind the effectiveness of computational propaganda.
