Biography

William Volante is an Associate Lecturer in the psychology department at the University of Central Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology as well as his M.A. in Applied Experimental Human Factors Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, Dr. Volante received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Volante has conducted research in the areas of Human-Robot Interaction, Social Influence, Trust, Automation, Usability, and Gamification. He has a passion for teaching and has taught various courses in psychology including Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, as well as courses that focus on Human Factors and Usability. As a long-time Knight, Dr. Volante is passionate about student mentorship and assisting students in their academic journey throughout their time at UCF. His teaching philosophy focuses on interactive and engaged learning, with a personal goal of helping all students to succeed.
