2016 Political Science 30 Under 30
Congratulations to the 2016 winners of UCF’s 30 under 30 from the Department of Political Science. They are:
Anna Eskamani, ’12, ’15, Department of Political Science
Ms. Eskamani is an extremely active member of the UCF and Orlando communities. She serves as the Associate Director of UCF’s Nicholson School of Communication, Adjunct Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at UCF and the Senior Policy Director of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. In 2015, she was recognized by the Orlando Sentinel as one of Central Florida’s 100 most influential people in government, politics and culture. An Order of Pegasus recipient, she is working toward her fifth degree — all at UCF. Double majored in political sciences and interdisciplinary studies (bachelor’s) and double majored in public administration and nonprofit management (master’s). Currently pursuing doctoral degree in public administration.
Ida Eskamani, ’12, ’16, Department of Political Science
Ms. Eskamani serves as the State Youth Vote Director of For Our Future. She actively serves as a leader for various organizations in the Orlando community, including Organize Now!, Carlos Guillermo Smith for Florida, Equality Florida and more. She managed Equality Florida’s fundraising efforts and victim services helping to raise $7 million for the victims’ families and those who survived the shooting at Pulse nightclub. Majored in political science (bachelor’s) and public administration (master’s).
Kimberlee Martin, ’09, Department of Political Science
Ms. Martin is an Assistant Public Defender at the Office of the Public Defender, 9th Judicial Circuit in Orlando. While she was a law student at FIU, she was the founding president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, which advocated for protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system. Majored in political science.
Ted Moskovitz, ’09, Department of Political Science
Mr. Moskovitz is and founding team member and the Executive Vice President of Apollo Scheduling. Apollo Scheduling was recognized as an Empact100 Honoree for being one of the Top Companies in America Run by Entrepreneurs Under 35 and invited to the White House and awards ceremony at the United Nations. Majored in political science.
Codeye Woody, ’15, Department of Political Science
Mr. Woody is Director of Legislative and Congressional Relations for Orange County Public Schools. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in public administration. He is a mentor to students in the community and also serves as a student member of the UCF Public Administration Advisory Board. majored in political science.
