Event: Donate clothes, help fund scholarship

The UCF Women’s Club is hosting its annual ‘Closet Cleaning for Scholarships’ on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church at 3600 W. SR 426 (Aloma Avenue, near 417) in Oviedo.

This is the third annual event which raises funds for non-traditional students at UCF. The Women’s Club awards three per year to undergraduate students and this year will award one graduate scholarship.

To help with this cause, one of our events is a closet cleaning/clothing sale event which has proven not only to be fun but productive on a number of levels – we shop each other’s closets (lots of items with price tags!), we raised one full scholarship last year and the remaining clothes were donated to Dress for Success, Center for Drug Free Living and University Church. Bring the clothing to Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church on March 14, 15, 16 between 2:00-6:00 p.m. Volunteer to help with the sale. Come to the sale and BUY, BUY, BUY.
