VIDEO: Dr. Walters and her oyster mat method

A new video by Jordan Kahn and Sean McNeil centers around the Halifax Oyster Festival in Daytona Beach which donates its proceeds to shoreline restoration projects done by the Marine Discovery Center.

The center, led by Dr. Linda Walters, is regenerating living shorelines using a special oyster mat method developed at the University of Central Florida, one of the most successful programs in the United States at bringing sea grasses back into our nation’s lagoons and rivers.
