Alumnus Named Assistant Director for the Orlando DDB/CRA

David Barilla_editedDavid Barilla, 06, has had a hand in the development of Orlando since he began his career with the City of Orlando Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency (DDB/CRA) in 2010. He worked for two years as the economic development coordinator III and worked on key projects such as the $165 million 55 West project, the new Mad Cow Theater and other critical program initiatives.

Proving himself to be an outstanding and hardworking individual, Barilla has been selected as the new assistant director for the DDB/CRA. His responsibilities include overseeing marketing, special events programming, housing development, retail and business recruitment and economic development for Downtown Orlando.  

Barilla graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Prior to joining the City of Orlando’s DDB/CRA, Barilla worked with local and national real estate firms and was a member of the Florida Army National Guard.
