Graduate Finds Success in Media

Jennifer King McVan, ’99, graduated from the Nicholson School of Communication in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in radio/television and began her career in media at WESH-TV in Orlando, FL.  She has also worked for Nielsen Media Research & ESPN. McVann currently serves as the media relations manager of Florida Hospital Tampa Bay Division.

Prior to joining Florida Hospital in August of 2012, Jennifer served as an executive producer at WFTS-TV ABC Action News in Tampa.  She has been honored by The National Association of Television Arts & Sciences – Suncoast Region, The National Headliner Awards, Society of Professional Journalists, and Florida Associated Press for producing numerous campaigns, live specials and documentaries.

McVan and her husband, Daniel, have two children, Connor and Kylee.
