Helping to Save Lives One Person and Mission Trip at a Time
Samuel Realista, ’01, graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in health services administration. Since graduating from UCF, Realista obtained a nursing degree from Valencia Community College and worked as a nurse for five years before becoming a nephrology nurse practitioner in 2009.
Last year, Realista opened his own business called Real Health America LLC, which educates dialysis patients about optimizing their health. Not only does he dedicate his time to help others in the United States, but he has also volunteered as a provider with First Baptist of Orlando on its medical mission trips. Realista is currently planning medical mission trips to Columbia and the Philippines. He plans to complete his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Florida in May 2013.
