Journalism grads win social media award

Two Nicholson School journalism graduates recently won top honors from the Florida Society of News Editors (FSNE) for their use of social media to break news. Ryan Little,’11, a reporter for The Ledger newspaper in Lakeland, Fla., and Matt Reinstetle,’11, entertainment editor at The Ledger, shared the first place award from the FSNE for their use of social media in covering the opening of the Legoland theme park. Little and Reinstetle both graduated with Journalism degrees from UCF in 2011.
