Let’s Get the Party Started

It’s finally here! Centric magazine’s spring issue launch party is this Wednesday, April 10, 5-7 p.m. at the Fairwinds Alumni Center.

Attendees will receive a free copy of the new spring issue as well as free chicken tenders from Huey Magoo’s and free cupcakes from Kupkake Kidz.

A DJ from Giovanni’s will be in charge of music and artists from the magazine, including The Ovibes, will be performing. You can also get your picture taken with the campus Storm Troopers.

Special guests from the new issue that will be attending the party are:

  • Caryl Smith Gilbert, UCF’s award-winning track and field coach, who has led UCF’s track program to four Conference USA championship titles and produced four Olympic contenders.
  • UCF physics professor Josh Colwell, whose NASA-funded Saturn research and inspiring teaching style has made him one of the most popular professors on campus.
  • Chris O’Connor, an Iraq war veteran and UCF graduate student who overcame post-traumatic stress disorder and homelessness and now counsels other vets at the UCF Veterans Academic Resource Center.
