National Estuary Day

Join the College of Sciences and Dr. Linda Walters of our Biology Department for National Estuary Day at UCF.

The event will be held at the Biology Field Building from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24. The building is close to the Observatory Lab, which is by the Human Resources building.

This will be the first National Estuary Day at UCF and Dr. Walters needs tons of volunteers to help make oyster mats in order to plant mangrove seeds for their 2012 deployments. Making the mats is easy and you feel like an expert after your first one.

This great ecological opportunity is open to everyone so bring your family and friends to UCF’s first National Estuary Day.
