NSC magazine continues coverage of UCF
The second issue of Centric debuted recently. The campus magazine, published by the Nicholson School and produced by Journalism instructor Rick Brunson’s Magazine Editing & Production class, features articles, photos and graphics that spotlight interesting and innovative people in the UCF community. As part of the final exam for the class, staff members met at Bonnier Corp., Orlando’s largest magazine publisher, for a critique of the issue with senior editor Mary-Frances Emmons. The editor told the class that the magazine exceeded her expectations, was filled with content that surprised and entertained her and was an excellent, hands-on way to learn about the magazine business. Emmons also gave pointers for improving future issues and extended internship opportunities to members of the class.
