Oyster Reef and Living Shoreline Stabilization Volunteer Opportunities Summer 2014

summer 2014 oysterUCF and the Brevard Zoo have partnered to create volunteer opportunities for students who wish to participate in oyster reef restoration and shoreline stabilization projects with the Canaveral National Seashore (CANA) and Fort Mose National Park (FM). Volunteering is open to all students, regardless of their major. Biology students are encouraged to participate.

Volunteers needed in CANA for boat-based oyster restoration (requires reservation with J. Palmer at jpalmer@brevardzoo.org) 

June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

June 18 from 8 a.m. to noon

June 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

June 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

June 23 from noon to 4 p.m.

June 29 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

June 30 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
