Sociology alum honored for his work as a youth minister

Keith Yarborough’s passion for youth ministry was inspired by his lack of spiritual mentors as a teenager, so, as an adult, he is committed to building tomorrow’s leaders while they’re young.

He is now celebrating 30 years as a member of the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church Winter Garden. In recognition of Yarborough’s three decades of service, the church invites the community to help recognize his anniversary this Sunday, June 10, in the Basement Living Room following the 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. services.

The Atlanta native moved to Orlando in 1967 as a teen with his family, and is a graduate of Boone High School. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in August 1978. Yarborough currently serves as both youth pastor and executive pastor at the Baptist church.
