The Disney Wilderness Preserve Project

UCF is working through a memorandum of agreement with the Nature Conservancy conducting conservation related research at Disney Wilderness Preserve which is a large conservation area already protected in the Northern Everglades Watershed. Research conducted at DWP will contribute to the understanding of ecosystem dynamics and conservation of the refuge lands which will greatly expand the protected landscape in this very important part of the Greater Everglades Landscape. This protected landscape will also provide areas for future conservation research for our faculty and students.

Biology Chair Ross Hinkle is helping facilitate this important partnership and project.
