Dr. DiMauro is currently a professor in the Department of Physics and the Hagenlocker Chair at the Ohio State University (USA).  He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of Connecticut. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, the Optical Society of America, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.  He is an expert in ultrafast lasers and strong-field physics, and one of pioneering researchers in the field of attosecond science and its application in atomic, molecular and optical physics.
