Biography

Alanna Reynolds is a Security Studies PhD student and works as a Senior Intelligence Analyst in the aerospace and defense industry. Her research interests include the role of misinformation and disinformation in conflicts, intelligence studies, behavioral cybersecurity and quantitative methods. A proud graduate of UCF and the Burnett Honors College, she holds a BA in English – Technical Communication and a BA in Spanish Language and Literature, as well as a MA in Political Science with at Graduate Certificate in Intelligence and National Security.  She is a member of the College of Sciences Alumni Board and the nonprofit Girl Security, mentoring students interested in careers in national security through both programs. In 2023, she was selected to receive the UCF 30 under 30 Alumni Award and was also awarded the UCF Shining Knights Young Alumni Award, the highest annual honor awarded to a UCF young alumni. In her spare time, Alanna enjoys playing viola with the Central Florida Community Arts Symphony Orchestra, traveling, hiking and spending time with her wonderful family.
