Biography

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Security Studies Program at UCF with an interest in public perception of law enforcement and militarization of police. My research focus is on the effects cognition and stress have on forming opinions about police. Specifically, I investigate the relationship between psychosomatic legacies of insecurity and individuals’ trust behaviors. I study this topic in the light of militarization of law enforcement in Latin America.
