Alisha Janowsky is the Director of the Psychology Undergraduate (BS) Program and Associate Chair for Instruction and Students. She earned her Ph.D. in social psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2004 and joined UCF’s Psychology Department in 2006. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2020.
Dr. Janowsky teaches courses such as general psychology, social psychology, and statistical methods. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students have earned her several awards including the University Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award, College of Sciences Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award, Teaching Incentive Program Award, Chuck D. Dziuban Award for Excellence in Online Teaching, Housing and Residence Distinguished Faculty Award, and Student Accessibility Services Certificate of Recognition. Dr. Janowsky also served as a Faculty Fellow for the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, Center for Distributed Learning, and Transfer and Transition Services. She currently serves as a member of the faculty advisory boards for both Center for Distributed Learning and Student Accessibility Services.
