Erik Katenkamp heads up Omnichannel and Digital at Publix, as well as the IT teams for merchandising systems.  His teams use vast amounts of data from all areas of our business to improve the customer experience in our stores and online.

Ivan Ordonez

Associate Biostatistician at Sanofi Pasteur (and UCF Alumni)

 

Ivan Ordonez, ’16 Statistics, provides statistical support as an associate biostatistician the vaccine division of Sanofi, Sanofi Pasteur.

As a biostatistician, Ordonez helps scientists study and develop vaccines using an in vitro technology called the MIMIC system. The data collected and analyzed from experiments is used to prove hypotheses, compare vaccines, estimate parameters, calculate samples sizes, formulate new research questions and improve experimental designs.

Hal Trask

IT Manager from Orange County Sheriff’s Office

 

Hal Trask is currently the IT Solutions Delivery Manager for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and an experienced Information Technology professional with over 30 years of experience in software and database development and analysis. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office uses data and analytics in various ways, including crime analysis, patrol operations, human resource management and fleet management to drive performance and efficiency with the primary purpose of keeping our officers and community safe.

Hal holds a Master’s of Science in Business Analytics degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden Connecticut.

Sheena Lovette

Crime Analysis Manager from Orange County Sheriff’s Office

 

Sheena Lovette attended Florida State University and Columbia College before serving in the U.S. Army for nine years in the legal and communications field. She began her career in law enforcement in 1993 as a crime analyst. Today she is the first to hold the position of crime analysis unit manager for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. She is a qualified instructor in crime analysis for OCSO and other regional law enforcement agencies, as well as criminal justice students at the University of Central Florida and Valencia College. In 2011, she created and directed the “Crime Analyst Mentoring

Program” (CAMP) for the state of Florida, and shortly after was appointed mentor chair for the

International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA).
