Gifts to the UCF Foundation provide critical support for students, faculty, programs and facilities. Gifts from our alumni, friends, community and charitable organizations enrich academic programs, help purchase equipment and allow UCF to continue to offer special opportunities to students and faculty. We invite you to take a look at some of the giving opportunities available within UCF Mathematics.

Mathematics General Fund

Giving to the Mathematics General Fund is a great way to target your gift to UCF Mathematics. There are a lot of needs in supporting our seminars and colloquium talks by inviting and hosting visitors from outside UCF. Materials are also needed for the Mathematics Assistance and Learning Lab (the MALL) and the Mathematics Success Center to better serve our students. Your gift to the Mathematics General Fund allows Mathematics to address its most pressing needs.

Math Circle Fund

The faculty in Mathematics believe that making the study of mathematics exciting and fun among our students is an obligation to our Central Florida community. Faculty and student volunteers (graduate and undergraduate) devote a few of their Saturdays each spring semester to organize some interesting activities for students. With UCF Mathematics help and with the encouragement and support from the national Math Circle Association, UCF started the UCF Math Circle a few years ago as a free service to local students. Your donation will help us to provide the materials, snacks and water for student participants.

Lee Armstrong Best GTA Teaching Award Fund

Mathematics gives out an annual award to the best Graduate Teaching Assistant. This award was initially funded by our former colleague, the late Professor Lee Armstrong, on an annual basis. Indeed, he handed in a check every year. Professor Armstrong passed away in 2019 and Mathematics wants to keep this named award in memory of Professor Lee Armstrong. Your donation will help us to promote the excellence in teaching among our graduate teaching assistants, an area Professor Lee Armstrong was very passionate about.

Statistics General Fund

Making a gift to the Statistics General Fund is a great place to begin supporting UCF Statistics and Data Science. As needs constantly change, this fund provides support based on the current demands of our students and faculty. Your gift to the Statistics General Fund allows the ability to address its most critical needs as they arise.
