Recognizing the Future of Foreign Policy

Marcos-299x375 ResizedAs a political adviser at the Brazilian House of Representatives and a Ph.D. candidate in Security Studies at UCF, Marcos Degaut‘s paper “Do the BRICS Still Matter”  was showcased in New Framework’s 2015’s Best Reads in Foreign Policy. Published in Medium, this publishing platform is a community of readers and writers offering unique perspectives on ideas large and small. New Framework’s 2015’s Best Reads in Foreign Policy is a curated list of the next generation of foreign policy thinkers and Mr. Degaut had the pleasure of being recognized for his published article by the Center for Strategic and International Affairs (CSIS). This report introduces a critical account of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) as an analytical category and whether the possibilities of an effective intra-group cooperation could lead to a major change in world power.
