Congratulations to Dr. Cynthia Young

Cynthia Young Cake resizedsFaculty and staff in the UCF College of Sciences gathered together last week to wish Cynthia Young, Ph.D., good luck in her new position as Interim Vice Provost of Faculty Excellence and International Affairs and Global Strategies.

Michael Johnson, Ph.D., Dean of the UCF College of Sciences, thanked Young for her service to the college as associate dean. The group enjoyed a UCF themed cake as they wished Young the best.

Young will be a part of the reorganization of Academic Affairs to better align their division with UCF’s mission and goals, while clearly defining their roles and responsibilities in serving the university community.

Young will serve as Interim Vice Provost of Faculty Excellence, which will lead university-wide initiatives and programs that strengthen faculty support; encourage interdisciplinary collaboration; and recruit and retain faculty as part of their hiring campaigns and faculty development programs.

The UCF College of Sciences wishes Dr. Young the best and thanks her for her service and continuous support.
