Event: Shark tank adds Orlando casting call on June 14
The casting team at ABC’s popular show “Shark Tank” will hold a third summer casting call in Orlando, Florida. The show features entrepreneurs who pitch their business plan to a panel of investors for a chance at winning investment cash.
UCF graduate Phil Dumas, the founder of UniKey Technologies, was recently on the season finale of the show. All five investors on the show offered Dumas deals after he pitched his invention of a keyless door lock that works using a smartphone application. Dumas ultimately struck a deal with sharks Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary, landing $500,000 up-front cash in exchange for 40 percent of Dumas’ company plus two seats on the board of directors. The event will be held at the Sheraton Orlando Downtown Hotel on Thursday, June 14th. The Sheraton is located at 400 West Livingston St. Orlando, FL 32801. The casting call will take place between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
If you plan to attend, be sure to print and complete the open casting call application. For more information on the show please visit their website here.
