Florida International Summit

The Florida International Summit, sponsored by the UCF Political Science Department, the UCF Global Perspectives Office and the UCF Nicholson School of Communication, was held last month. The event, titled “Technology, Society and Innovation in an Era of Globalization” was a success with national and international guest speakers.

Specialists in technology, innovation and globalization spoke Thursday at the University of Central Florida about how the world is becoming integrated in new and ever-changing ways.

Kerstin Hamann, Chair, UCF Political Science Department moderated a panel with guest speakers: Tim Cullen, Director, Oxford Programme on Negotiation, University of Oxford, and Executive Director, Small Countries Financial Management Centre, Isle of Man; Ning Wang, Project Leader for China-related business, Wermland Chamber of Commerce, Karlstad, Sweden.

The Florida International Summit 2012, themed “Technology, Society and Innovation in an Era of Globalization,” was a statewide forum with an audience of about 200 students, faculty, administrators, business professionals and community members from throughout Florida.
