November Alumni Class Notes
Congratulations to the following UCF College of Sciences alumni on their recent career changes and accomplishments:
Amanda Castro, ’12, was promoted at 41NBC/WMGT in Macon, Ga. She is the new co-anchor of the morning newscast, Daybreak. She graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in radio-TV.
Kyle A. Diamantas, ’10, has joined the Orlando office of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. He graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Kristen Harris, ’11, has been hired as the social editor at Seventeen Magazine in New York City. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising-public relations.
Jennie E. Hayes, ’10, was sworn into the Florida Bar in September by the Honorable Jack Helinger of Florida’s 6th Judicial Circuit, a judge for whom she interned during law school. She graduated from UCF with two bachelor’s degrees in interpersonal-organizational communication and political science.
David Raanan, ’10, graduated with his master’s degree in communication from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After working as Lady Gaga’s VIP relations coordinator, he has founded Raanan Representation as a personal publicist and talent liaison representing influencers in music, fashion, film and sports. He received his bachelor’s degree in advertising-public relations from UCF.
Neil Schierholz, ’00, is a licensed psychologist with private practices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. He graduated with a master’s degree in industrial organization psychology.
Nicole Schoen, ’12, has been hired as the multimedia news editor for the Osprey Observer in Brandon, FL. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Tammy Wilson, ’92, has been promoted to director of communications for the Southeastern Conference. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio-TV.
