Rami George Khouri visits UCF on Dec. 2
Rami George Khouri, executive editor of the Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star, will speak Thursday, Dec. 2, at the University of Central Florida.
“The Perils and Promise of Communication Between the Arab World, the Middle East and the West” will begin at 3 p.m. in the Garden Key Room of the Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.
In addition to his role at The Daily Star, the largest English-language newspaper in the Middle East, Khouri pens the twice-weekly “A View from the Arab World,” which explores the issues of his native land.
Khouri previously served as editor-in-chief of The Jordan Times. He also wrote from Amman for other international publications, including The Financial Times, The Boston Globe and The Washington Post. His work has attempted to bridge the interests of audiences in both the Middle East and the West with analysis of current and important international issues.
