UCF teams win three medals in physics competition

Three teams from UCF went home with awards in the 2011 University Physics Competition. The University Physics Competition is an international contest for undergraduate students, who worked in teams of up to three students at their home colleges and universities all over the world, and spent 48 hours during the weekend of November 4, 5 & 6 analyzing an applied scenario using the principles of physics, and writing a formal paper describing their work.
A UCF team consisting of Christopher Frye, Jie Liang and Ryan Hardy won a gold medal.
Two other teams from UCF also took home bronze medals. Jonathan Lee, Will Richardson and Adam Wearne worked on a team together and Miller Hederi, Angel Mancebo and Candy Reid made up the other winning team.
