Chadine N. Allen is a PhD student in the Security Studies Program at the University of Central Florida. She holds a Master of Science degree in Migration, Mobility and Development from the University of London, and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the Syracuse University. Ms. Allen also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science & Management Studies from the University of the West Indies.

Ms. Allen possesses over 25 years’ experience as a migration and border security practitioner and has extensive experience in leadership, policy development, international security relations, border security, and international migration. Previously, Ms. Allen was a Senior Director International Security Relations in the Ministry of National Security, Government of Jamaica; Chief of Operations for Border Security, CARICOM Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS); Project Manager for the implementation of three migration-related projects funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and delivered through Jamaica’s central planning agency, The Planning Institute of Jamaica. She has worked as the technical lead for proposals to amend and modernize immigration statutes in Jamaica.
Ms. Allen is a U.K. Chevening and U.S. Fullbright Scholar. Her research interests include transnational organised crime migration security issues, cyber responses, maritime securities issues, and emerging criminal activities in unregulated spaces, such as the dark web and social media, by organised criminal groups.
