Biography
John Akoeda is a Ph.D. student in National Security Studies at the University of Central Florida. He holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Ohio University, an M.Phil. in Political Science from the University of Ghana, and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics Education from the University of Education, Winneba. John’s academic interests focus on terrorism, intelligence gathering, border security, African politics, and African trade. Currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UCF, he previously worked as a Supplemental Instruction Coordinator and Graduate Research Assistant at Ohio University. His skill set includes intelligence gathering, policy analysis, and geopolitical risk assessment, with expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. John is proficient in tools like Microsoft Office, Zotero, Stata, and NVivo.
