Canberra, known to locals as ‘the 20 minute city’ because nothing is very far away, is home to a population approaching 350,000. Students will have an opportunity to take courses in a variety of areas across the scope of political science discipline.

The American University in Cairo was founded in 1919 by Americans devoted to education and service in the Middle East. For its first 27 years, the University was shaped by its founding president, Charles A. Watson, who wished to create an English-language University based on high standards of conduct and scholarship, and to contribute to the intellectual growth, discipline and character of the future leaders of Egypt and the region.

The School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs is pleased to announce that it has entered into an exchange agreement with Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany. Students will take courses focusing on IR, comparative government, and European politics.

Spring Semester

The University of Groningen in the Netherlands is designed to expose UCF students to professional and academic practices outside of the US. In addition, participants in this exchange are expected to develop skills to adapt to a different academic and geographical environment. The University of Groningen was founded in 1641 and provides high quality education and research in a broad range of disciplines, is internationally oriented, works actively with business partners, public institutions and the government, as well as, ranks among the best universities in Europe. Students will take courses focusing on law, conflict, and IR.

MALMO University was established in 1998 and provides high quality education and research in a broad range of disciplines, is internationally oriented, works actively with business partners, public institutions and the government.

MALMO’s education model differs from the elective style here at UCF. Students participating in the exchange will select a topic module of study, and will take four courses covering different dimensions of that topic. Modules include International Relations, Human Rights, and other areas.

The University of Peloponnese School (UOP) of Social and Political Science is located in the city of Corinth. It is a modern, multidisciplinary, regional and multi-campus university. It was established in 2000 and combines the triple nature of regional, Greek and European-international university. The seat of the University is in Tripolis, but it is developed in the five Capitals of Prefectures of the Peloponnese Region (Tripolis, Corinth, Nafplion, Sparta, Kalamata).

The University of Surrey, in Guildford, U.K. offers an opportunity to learn key skills, concepts and techniques needed for a successful career. The University of Surrey was founded in 1894. It was known as Battersea Polytechnic Institute and located in London. It was moved to Guildford and renamed the University of Surrey in 1966. The structure of the academic programs at the University of Surrey promotes interdisciplinary collaboration. The programs are divided into four Faculties: Arts and Human Sciences, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Health and Medical Sciences and Management and Law. It is currently the academic home of approximately 12,000 students.

Kansai Gaidai University

Kansai Gaidai University stands out for its rapid development of international programs, with approximately 700 international students enrolling each year. Summer Exchange at Chonnam National University

Summer Semester

Since 2009, the CNU International Summer School has brought together students from Chonnam National University and partner universities around the world for a meaningful academic and cultural exchange.

The 4‑week program, led by distinguished professors from CNU and other leading universities, allows students to earn up to 6 credits while forming genuine friendships across cultures. Korean and international participants learn, travel, and explore Gwangju and other regions of Korea together, gaining a deeper understanding of the country’s authentic culture and building lifelong global networks.
