Officer Meeting
Location: Psychology building, graduate student lounge
Present: Joe Keebler, Carrie Murphy, Katie Del Giudice, Heather Lum, and Scott Ososky
Ides for Summer to earn Silver Status for Chapter:
- The application for chapter recognition is due August 15!
- We need to have all our activities done and the application for recognition filled out by the end of July
- Collaborate with the Space Coast chapter of HFES to tour the NASA facilities
- Arrange an HFES-sponsored comps study session
- Improve the student lounge by adding a bulletin board for chapter activies, white board table, painting, book shelves for library, etc. (one of the above for now)
- We need to get evidence (letter from principal) for Joe, Mike, Dave, and Bill’s trip to the high school for the NEM presentation
- Social movie night/professional development presentation in Room 108
Other Business
- Carrie and Joe will go to NASA to meet with Michelle Reuter, the president of the Space Coast Chapter, about collaborating
- We need to arrange a social event for the incoming students at orientation to introduce them to the chapter (end of July or early August)
- Carrie will update the chapter constitution: UCF Constitution Checklist,Sample Constitution
Next meeting: May 26th?? (this is Memorial Day) –> May 27th at 3pm in the Psychology Student Lounge
