Outreach & Raising Awareness
Student Outreach
- Speakers at Psi Chi reaching out for undergraduate membership
- Posters/projects around the psychology and/or engineering buildings
- Outreach to undergraduates/graduate programs: Engineers without borders, PsiChi, Modeling and Sim, I/O, Psych. Society, etc.
Alumni Outreach
- List alumni= who are the alumni from our program (year of graduation, where they are now, advisor)
- Ideas: alumni panel, alumni dinner, newsletters
Newsletter
- Chapter wide updates for faculty, members, and alumni
- Should include articles and interviews (written by students, faculty with some alumni highlights)
Funding and fundraising opportunities
Fudraising: BCG (concessions for sporting events and concerts)
Funding: will be dependent on fundraising opportunities and money brought in
- Dues: aim to pay for chapter dues for all HF students and to encourage membership in the National Chapter.
- Travel: Choose two conferences (one being HFES national meeting), a dollar amount for funding, who has funding, who is an author, and divide the funding among members.
