Biography
Griffon Binkowski is a current M.A. graduate student specializing in biological anthropology at the University of Central Florida. He received a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Central Florida in 2024. Griffon is working under the advisement of Dr. Lana Williams, focusing on trace element analysis and biological archaeology. His thesis research investigates the use of handheld X-ray fluorescence spectrometry as a nondestructive method of trace element analysis for use on bone to discern trends in diet, mobility, and health from ancestral populations in Belize and Egypt. Griffon received the UCF College of Graduate Studies Presentation Fellowship and a graduate teaching assistantship in 2025. He plans to complete his degree in spring 2026. He aims to enter a dual PhD program in anthropology and education upon graduation.
