Biography
Julia Sponholtz is a current PhD student specializing in archaeology and paleoethnobotany at the University of Central Florida. Julia received a B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish, a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama in 2020 and an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Alabama in 2022. Julia is working under the advisement of Neil Duncan focusing on paleoethnobotany. Julia’s dissertation research examines variation in plant use practices and cuisine in the Llanos de Mojos, Bolivia in the southwest Amazon.
