In addition to the Aquatic Biogeochemistry Lab and the Soil and Sediment Lab, Dr. Chambers has access to the Biology Field Research Center (BFRC) which includes:
- 1000 ft2 of modular research space
- Five 450 ft2 storage bays
- Parking for field vehicles
- Three greenhouses (2 X1000 ft2, 350 ft2)

- LiCor 8100A, including a trace gas kit
- YSI ProDSS (DO, conductivity, pH, temperature, and turbidity)
- Ford F150 4×4 extended-bed crew cab truck
- Smaller items include: 5 analytical balances, 4 refrigerator/freezers for sample storage, 2 Accumet pH/Cond/Temp meters, a Eureka Chlorophyll-a probe, a Lazar LIS-146AGSCM Micro Sulfide electrode, 20 Pt-tipped Redox electrodes, 25 porewater equilibrators, and abundant glassware, pipettes, soil coring equipment, sample storage containers, and other basic laboratory equipment
