Please use this form if you have completed BSC2010C – Biology I with a grade of “C” or better AND you receive a prerequisite error:
Students with declared majors (Ex: Kinesiology or Health Sciences) that do not require BSC2011C – Biology II as part of their major or graduate non-degree seeking students will not be able to enroll in Biology II themselves. These students require an override into an open class or override onto the waitlist for a closed class beginning one week prior to the beginning of the semester you are requesting to take the class.
Biology majors, along with a handful of other majors require BSC2011C for their major and Biology students especially cannot take any classes within their major until they complete BSC2011C. That is why students at UCF with majors that require Biology II must take precedence; they need it to graduate from UCF.
If you have taken BSC2010C – Biology I at another public Florida institution and it is currently not listed on your degree audit or recorded in the UCF system, then you will need to show proof of the prerequisite completed by unofficial transcripts or screen captures showing full name, institution name, course number and final grade.
Overrides for BSC2011C begin one week prior to the semester you wish to take the class.
- Fall 2025 – Monday, August 11th, 2025
- Spring 2026 – Monday, January 5th, 2026
- Summer 2026 – Monday, May 11th, 2026

Needed for you Prerequisite Override
Before continuing the override process make sure you have access to the following:
- UCF ID (7-digit ID number, no letters)
- Course Name, Section #, and CRN (Course Number)
- Status of class (Open, Closed, or Waitlisted)
- Picture of photo ID (Student ID or Driver’s License)
- Proof of pre-requisite(s). If taken at UCF, degree audit. If taken at another public Florida institution- unofficial transcripts or screen captures showing full name, institution name, course number and grade.
