Cheers to Ten Years
This October marked ten years since the UCF College of Arts and Sciences was divided into the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Sciences in 2005. In honor of its anniversary, the UCF College of Sciences held a special reception for faculty and staff on Friday, October 30th. The open-house event was held in the Morgridge International Reading Center on UCF main campus. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks while socializing and celebrating the accomplishments of the college.
Michael Johnson, Ph.D., Dean of the UCF College of Sciences, made an announcement thanking guests for their dedication to the college and the university.
“Each and every one of you here today has contributed to these successes and the reputation of our college. It is thanks to the tireless work and dedication of our faculty and staff that we are making such a significant impact in the lives of our students and the community,” said Dean Johnson.
A slide show capturing the history and accomplishments of the college, its departments and school, was displayed on the multiple screens in the reception area. Guests picked up a commemorative wine glass given by the college as they left the reception.
