COS Alumni Make the List

Orlando Magazine recently released the names of Orlando’s 50 most powerful people for 2013. The 10th annual list showcased a diverse mix of leaders in the Orlando community. As the magazine noted, these movers and shakers possess the power to move and inspire others. Among those listed include University of Central Florida President, John Hitt, moving from the No. 4 spot from last year to the No. 3 spot, as well as many other individuals with a UCF connection. Congratulations to the following College of Sciences alumni that were included on the list:

 

  • George Kalogridis, ’76, is the president of Walt Disney World Resort and holds the No. 7 spot on the list. He graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
  • Dick J. Batchelor, ’71, is a business and political consultant, and advocate for Children’s Causes. He holds the No.44 spot on the list. He graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
  • Marcos Marchena, ’82, is an attorney, general counsel for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, and a member of the UCF Board of Trustees. He holds the No. 45 spot on the list. He graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
