UCF Arboretum to Host Inaugural Halloween Spooktacular Event
On Thursday, October 29, UCF students are invited to camp overnight in the UCF Arboretum at its inaugural Halloween Spooktacular event.
The event will include a nocturnal tour through the Arboretum Natural Lands trail, a ghost story told in the Oak Hammock, a scary movie played in the arboretum park, a fire pit, and free food!
Students are encouraged to wear a spooktacular costume and their camping gear to camp out in the arboretum park for the night.
Reservations are required for those who wish to camp. Please reserve your spot ASAP by e-mailing Jean.Jacques.Werleigh@ucf.edu. Spots will fill quickly.
Tents and camping material can be rented from UCF Outdoor Adventures, http://rwc.sdes.ucf.edu/programs/outdoor-adventure/equipment-rentals.
Tentative schedule of events:
Nocturnal Arboretum Tour: 8:00 p.m.
Ghost Story in the Oak Hammock: 8:30 p.m.
Movie in the Park: 9:00 p.m.
Camping Activities: bonfire, music, etc., following the movie.
Sound off by 1:00 a.m.
Pack up camp by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30th.
