Biography
Christina Vega is the Event Coordinator at the College of Sciences where she collaborates with colleagues and other UCF stakeholders to plan memorable and engaging events for the College. She has more than ten years of event planning experience in higher education and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration from Buffalo State University and a Master’s degree in Higher and Post-Secondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Most recently, Christina managed special events for the Executive Vice President and Dean’s Office at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, organizing a wide variety of events including distinguished lectures, symposia, workshops, graduation ceremonies, and employee engagement initiatives. She also gained valuable student life experience at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, where she advised student groups on event planning and campus resources and planned key events such as new student orientation and graduation.
For Christina, events are more than just logistics and tasks. They represent an opportunity to showcase the incredible work happening at the College and facilitate meaningful connections. Christina loves collaborating with people and views events as a way to bring students, faculty, and staff together to celebrate shared achievements and strengthen engagement with the College of Sciences and its impactful work.
Originally from New York City, Christina loves spending her free time discovering everything Orlando has to offer with her family.
